-No Cell Service on the mountain so please download maps prior to arriving -Camp Nelson is a rural mountain community, so we recommend gassing up and getting all groceries in Porterville prior to arriving -Access to the river from the backyard may be strenuous down a steep slope. We recommend walking down Coy Flat Drive to the bridge which is a much more gradual walk, and then navigating down towards the river.

What an absolute gem 💎. Peaceful place to stay where you can hear the river from the porch and spot wildlife in the morning. Amazing views all around. We were greeted with some fresh delicious oranges by a friendly staff member. The place itself was very comfortable and stayed warm during the cold chilly nights. We will absolutely be staying here again in the future.
