The view was incredible, and the sense of peace and disconnection from everything made it truly special. The cabin itself was beautiful, very well organized, spotless, and fully equipped with everything you could need." — Idamar, April 2026 "The Airbnb was an amazing place to stay - it really allowed us to vacation in a secluded spot with lots of nature, trails, and experiences. Chris was incredibly kind, helpful, and responsive in his communication. Would recommend to anyone." — Brad, May 2026 "This cabin in Ponderosa was such a nice stay for us. Beautiful surroundings, nicely decorated. We were there during a snow storm for work so the generator was very useful as the area lost power but we didn't! I would definitely recommend!" — Barbara, October 2026 INSIDE SPACE Little Meadow Cabin offers 2 bedrooms plus a sleeping loft, 2 full bathrooms, and almost 1,400 square feet of open living space for up to 7 guests. The meadow and forest views come through the floor-to-ceiling windows from nearly every room — whether you're sunken into the living room couch, cooking in the kitchen, or reading high up in the loft. Vaulted ceilings open the whole main floor up, and the wood-burning fireplace anchors the room when the temperature drops in the evening. KITCHEN + DINING The kitchen is updated with stainless steel appliances and set up for real cooking — not just reheating. Plenty of prep space, full-size appliances, and enough room for two people to work side by side. Coffee lovers will find multiple ways to brew their morning ritual. The dining area sits right where the light comes in, with seating for the group close enough to the kitchen that whoever's cooking stays in the conversation. Outside on the back deck, a stainless steel BBQ grill makes summer dinners easy. BEDROOMS Two bedrooms on the main level plus a sleeping loft above the living room: * King bedroom — the primary, with a king bed and quiet privacy on the main floor. * Queen bedroom — bright with forest light through the windows, a queen bed with crisp linens, good for kids, friends, or a second couple. * Sleeping loft — a queen bed tucked above the living room, the cabin's most-fought-over spot. Open to the main floor below, with the same vaulted ceilings and forest views. Each bedroom is set up with fresh linens and full closet space. BATHROOMS Two full bathrooms, both on the main level — stocked with towels, soap, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash so you can pack lighter. One sits near the king bedroom; the other is positioned for the queen room and the loft guests upstairs. Both clean, modern, and ready when you arrive. WORKSPACE A dedicated workspace and high-speed Wi-Fi mean a remote workday from the cabin is genuinely possible. Strong enough signal to take video calls (Wi-Fi calling also works for your phone since there's no cell service up here). Get the morning's work done, then walk to Dome Rock by lunch. FAMILY & PET FRIENDLY The cabin is set up for the whole crew — kids and dogs included. -Open living layout keeps everyone in sight from the kitchen -Sleeping loft is the kid favorite -Floor-to-ceiling windows for deer-watching in the backyard -Dog-friendly with advance approval -Quiet road, room to roam -Self check-in via keypad — no waiting at a front desk after the drive up Dog rules: No dogs on furniture, no dogs in the loft or upstairs, and dogs left at the cabin must be crated. Pick up after them outside. OUTSIDE SPACE Walk out from the living room onto the back deck — meadow views straight ahead, the forest just past the clearing. Rocking chairs face out toward the meadow, and the stainless steel BBQ grill is ready for evening cookouts. This is the spot the day ends up: coffee in the morning, grill smoke in the late afternoon, stars overhead after dinner. The property backs up to oak, ponderosa pine, and cedar — quiet enough that you'll hear the wind in the trees and the birds before anything else. Deer pass through often. Bears, occasionally, so food and trash stay inside (always). Note: No outdoor fires of any kind, no fire pits, no smoking on the property. Sequoia National Forest fire risk is real and the cabin is in it. Local attractions *Dome Rock — 10 min, easy walk, panoramic view of the Kern River drainage *Trail of 100 Giants — 20 min, paved loop through ancient giant sequoias *Peppermint Creek Falls — 25 min, waterfall hike that's especially good in spring *Sequoia National Forest — surrounds the cabin; endless trails and pullouts The Needles — granite spires and lookout (popular climb + hike) Quaking Aspen Meadow Belknap Creek hiking trails Camp Nelson — small mountain community, café, general store Kern River — fishing, swimming holes Lake Success — boating and fishing Springville — Pierpoint Inn for food + drinks Porterville — closest full-service town for groceries and fuel California Hot Springs — old-school soaking pools, ~45 min Marked items are the must-dos. Other things to note No cell service in this area. Download offline maps before you head up. Wi-Fi calling works once you arrive and connect. Pack out your trash. There's no trash service at the cabin — please bring it down the mountain with you. Trash left behind is a $150 fee. No outdoor fires. Wildfire risk in the Sequoia National Forest is real. No fire pits, no campfires, no exceptions. No smoking of any kind on the property, inside or outside. Wildlife is part of the deal. Deer, squirrels, birds, bees, and the occasional bear pass through. Don't feed wildlife and don't leave food or trash outside. Dogs: Welcome with advance approval. No dogs on furniture, no dogs upstairs, no dogs left at the cabin uncrated, and please pick up after them. The wet bar soda machine is decor only — not for guest use. Sequoia National Park vs. National Forest: The cabin sits inside Sequoia National Forest, which has the same big trees, trails, and views — usually with way fewer people. The drive into Sequoia National Park proper takes longer than guests expect, so plan accordingly.
