the drive up from the west was certainly thrilling, and the views were spectacular. the house was everything we hoped for and the views from deck just wonderful. we cooked dinners every night and ate out on the deck as the sun went down. most days we would see mule deer walk past the windows or quail pecking their way along the driveway. for a perfect day trip, start with a walk among the sequoias at the trail of the 100 giants and on the way back to the cabin, stop off for a hike to the nobe young creek waterfalls and then cap it off with a walk out to dome rock. chris could not have been more helpful and communicative. great place, great host and a fantastic experience.

The place was cozy, comfortable, and actually even nicer than the photos. It had a really calm, welcoming feel to it, and everything was clean and thoughtfully set up. It felt like a space you could really relax in, not just a rental!
